Power comes from EGO’s commercial backpack battery and the ready-for-anything 2KW motor. All this is channelled through the light, yet amazingly strong carbon fibre shaft. Unlike alloy shafts, it won’t bend and lose its shape over time, keeping vibration levels to a minimum.

The Professional-X loop handle line trimmer / brushcutter is another option based on personal preference. The loop handle is quickly and easily adjusted so that you can achieve a comfortable and balanced experience. Compatible with both the EGO Power+ backpack, and Pro-X harness, you can spread the weight to make the tools even lighter and easier to use.

The line trimmer head cuts up to 38cm, and is supplied with 2.4mm line, but the line feed head is capable of housing line up to 3mm in diameter. This means you can use thicker line when working on more stubborn areas. The three-sided blade is comprised of steel and has a cutting width of 30cm – enabling you to get even closer to hard-to-reach areas. The RTX2300 rotocut head (sold separately) will also attach to this tool, giving you even more flexibility.
When it comes to operation, the STX3800 is equipped with a variable speed trigger, this means you have full control over speed and power, therefore able to work more efficiently. The carbon fibre drive shaft helps to minimise the weight of the tool, but means it’s strong and reliable, and won’t lose shape over time.
